Krupis lampreys

Krupis In the territory of Carnikava municipality, fishermen caught lampreys in the Gauja River as early as the 17th century and even earlier. The lamprey of Carnikava is the river lamprey – Lampera fluviatilis. Carnikava is called the lamprey capital or kingdom and the parish coat of arms is adorned with a lamprey.

On a daily basis, SIA Krupis is a manufacturing company that processes lampreys – it makes fried lampreys in jelly. During tastings, we offer to taste grilled lampreys prepared on site, special lamprey soup, as well as excellent lamprey sushi. This will be an opportunity to enjoy lamprey delicacies in the charming atmosphere of a fisherman’s hut in the very center of Carnikava!
